PRLog -- Dr. Willie Jolley and Rock Newman to receive the African American Chamber of Commerce DC Business Leadership Awards at ther 5th annual Congressional Black Caucus week VIP reception. This event is held in conjunction with the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC), 43rd Annual Legislative Conference (ALC) Week. The Co-Sponsors of the VIP Reception are the Convention and Visitors Bureau of Portland, Oregon; and, the Oregon Convention Center; in partnership with the National Organization of Black County Officials. Each year, in recognition and appreciation for the successful entrepreneurial efforts of DC Metropolitan area businesses, the AACC selects two DC-based businesses that embodies this effort to receive their distinguished Business Leadership Award. This year, the AACC is honored to recognize Dr. Willie Jolley and Rock Newman for their outstanding;
successful entrepreneurial endeavors in the District of Columbia and worldwide. DC Council Chairman Phil Mendelson, along with DC Councilmembers Anita Bonds, Muriel Bowser, Vincent Orange and Tommy Wells will be on hand for these award presentations. Since its inception in 2008, this annual VIP Reception, held on the opening night of CBC-ALC Week, has become recognized as “one of the most sought after unofficial CBC events to be invited”, which has great business professionals;
great food and drink, awards, prizes, and great entertainment. This year will be another exciting experience that people will again be talking about for weeks/months afterward. Last year, the AACC were honored to bring to the VIP Reception, Mary Wilson of the Supremes who performed to a packed house. This year, they present “the Motown Revue HITZVILLE, the Show.” This will be the Las Vegas Cast that has performed receiving rave reviews. The event will be held from 6:30pm-10:00pm and is sold out.
