Shoe Designer and Founder of the Jewel High Collection will be participating in the Making Strides for Breast Cancer Walk

New York City, NY Sept. 23, 2013 – Jewel T. High (http://www.jewelhigh.com), a New York City based luxury shoe designer and founder of the Jewel High Collection will be participating in the Making Strides for Breast Cancer Walk at Manhattanville College on October 20^th, 2013.  The Jewel High Collection was launched in March 2013 and provides exquisite luxury shoes for women of sizes 6 to 15.

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is the largest network of breast cancer awareness events in the nation, uniting nearly 300 communities to finish the fight. Every breast cancer walk and event is an incredible and inspiring opportunity to honor those who have battled breast cancer, raise awareness about what we can do to reduce our breast cancer risk, and raise money to help the American Cancer Society fight the disease with research, information and services, and access to mammograms for women who need them.

Founder and designer of the Jewel High Collection, Jewel T. High says, “My reason for walking in the Making Strides event is personal – just like every other walker’s story. We all walk because we’ve been affected by breast cancer in some way, and because the Making Strides event gives us the power to make a difference and fight back. This is my opportunity to honor breast cancer survivors, remember people we have lost, and help raise funds for groundbreaking research, information and services for people fighting breast cancer, and mammograms for women who need them.”

About our Designer:

Jewel T. High dreamed of owning her own shoe collection since she was 10 years old and never lost sight of it. One struggle she constantly faced was finding beautiful shoes in a size 11. Jewel always had to choose from a small selection of styles, which weren't the best looking shoes; the styles were either designed for mature women who don’t wear 5 inch heels, had a masculine look, or were made of poor quality. At just 22 years old, Jewel T. High uses her shoes to pave the way for women worldwide to love their size and walk with confidence.
