Shoe Designer Jewel T. High to be a sponsor of the 2013 Benefit for Baily House Silent Auction

New York City, NY Sept. 26, 2013 – Jewel T. High (http://www.jewelhigh.com), a New York City based luxury shoe designer and founder of the Jewel High Collection will be a sponsor of the 2013 Benefit for Bailey House silent auction, as well as volunteering at the event.   The Jewel High Collection launched in March 2013 and provides exquisite luxury shoes for women of sizes 6 to 15.

Tony Award Winning Choreographer Jerry Mitchell and Matt Letcher from “Scandal” and “Carrie Diaries” become honorary chairpersons for 2013 Bailey House event where celebrities show their support for housing for HIV+ young adults through this VIP fundraiser on Friday, September 27, 2013.  Performances will include American Idol’s Diana DeGarmo and Ace Young and a star filled guest list in attendance.

The Bailey House has provided supportive house, food, access to healthcare and other services to those in need for 30 years.  The STARS (Success Through Accessing Rental Assistance) program is a permanent supportive housing program for homeless or unstably housed HIV+ youth, ranging in age from 18-24.  STARS currently has 28 residents in its care, with 8 units held for transgender youth.  Baliey House is adding an additional 25 units in January 2014 specifically for LGBT youth.

About our Designer:

Jewel T. High dreamed of owning her own shoe collection since she was 10 years old and never lost sight of it. One struggle she constantly faced was finding beautiful shoes in a size 11. Jewel always had to choose from a small selection of styles, which weren't the best looking shoes; the styles were either designed for mature women who don’t wear 5 inch heels, had a masculine look, or were made of poor quality. At just 22 years old, Jewel T. High uses her shoes to pave the way for women worldwide to love their size and walk with confidence.
