Alepo and Affinegy Collaborate on Integration of Self Provisioning Systems For Service ProvidersFollowing a successful customer deployment at Mauritius Telecom (part of Orange S.A.), Affinegy and Alepo announce a partnership to provide service providers a more comprehensive end-to-end service provisioning solution.
By: Alepo USA AUSTIN, Texas - Sept. 26, 2013 - PRLog -- Affinegy and Alepo jointly announced today a new technology partnership between the Austin-based software leaders. As a result of a customer deployment in Mauritius, each will offer joint solutions providing for a complete, highly automated end-to-end system for service provisioning and complete customer activation, including device registration and validated service configuration. Service providers of both fixed and mobile networks will benefit from the partnership between Affinegy and Alepo, whose pre-integrated products bring a total solution for service provisioning that eliminates IT investment and pre-deployment planning to enable faster introduction of new service offerings at lowered operational expense.
The joint solution enables Customer Service Agents (CSA) to easily provision new services to customers. In an Alepo-Affinegy deployment, the CSA would use Alepo’s Service Enabler (SE) Customer Management System to select the services of interest to the customer. SE would then create and manage the policies administered by Alepo’s AAA Policy Management server. Once home, the customer would plug in the access device, like a DSL modem, and then be redirected to Affinegy’s Customer Activation Portal where the device would be authenticated through the RADIUS integration with Alepo’s Service Enabler. Affinegy’ Alepo Service Enabler is a modular, carrier-grade BSS / OSS software framework that enables the delivery, monetization, and managementof the latest IP data services. With modules encompassing revenue assurance, service and resource management, reporting and analytics, and customer management, Service Enabler allows providers to build a robust back office solution that is flexible, reliable, and extremely high-performing. Affinegy offers a carrier-class ACS platform, based on the TR-069 standard, which has been deployed globally, and is built to manage several million devices – routers, DSL/cable gateways, ONTs, LTE/WiMAX modems, SIP phones and set top boxes – from a single server. Affinegy’ The IOT event was completed in June 2013. “It is great when two companies cooperate in a strong way on behalf of the end customer. We envision this integration effort will benefit other Service Providers looking to drive efficiencies in their operations” said Frank LaBarbera, Affinegy’s SVP Sales and Marketing.
