Dublin Company Urges Organisations to Beware When Recycling IT Equipment

PORT TALBOT, Wales - Oct. 1, 2013 - PRLog -- London, UK- October 2013 – With the EU proposing punitive fines for breaches of European data laws, a Dublin based Environmental Services Company has teamed up with a global provider of data erasure solutions.  The result, they say, is that they can offer IT users in Ireland a data destruction system that allows them to be totally confident that sensitive data has been properly destroyed.

Tallaght based Kavanagh Environmental Ltd made the move after hearing a presentation from the UK’s Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) revealing that an alarming 48% of a sample of 200 second-hand hard drives still contained information with 11% containing information classified as sensitive.
