Roof cleaning using recycled water

DUNSTABLE, U.K. - Oct. 6, 2013 - PRLog -- Great Outdoors and In have been providing a roof cleaning service in Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire for over 8 years. They have constantly been looking at ways to improve the service offered to their clients in both the domestic and commercial market. Over the years they have incorporated rope access into the cleaning to make the service safer. For the last year they have been using water recycling to further improve the service, using this system obviously reduces considerable waste, helping the environment.

On a typical roof clean prior to the start of the cleaning all gutter downpipes are blocked. During the cleaning process the water is then reclaimed from the guttering using their onboard 'gutter vacuum system'. It is then pumped  to their recycling trailer, at this stage it passes through numerous filtration units before it is pumped back into the main feed tank.

Using this system they are able to reclaim over 95% of the water used in the roof cleaning process. In a typical day one operator will use less than 400 litres using their system, with conventional washing a single operator would use well over 8,500 litres!

For access Great Outdoors and In use articulated booms where ever possible, however especially on domestic properties this is rarely feasible due to obvious restricitons via the size / weight of the machines. In these cases Great outdoors and in use rope access in recognition of this system they have gained SAFEcontractor approval.
