Follow on Google News | RolePages Costume Character Video ContestA popular storytelling social network known as RolePages is holding an online costume character video contest for the month of October. Contestants are asked to submit videos of themselves in costume playing a character.
By: RolePages RolePlaying The rules of the contest stipulate that the video must be of you, in a costume, playing a character. However there are no restrictions on the length of the video, or the number of videos you can submit. The definition of “costume” is also quite loose, with normal everyday clothes working, as long as that is what the character would be wearing. A full list of rules and conditions can be found on the official contest page: http://www.rolepages.com/ The community that has built up around RolePages is innovative and active, and the site itself is known for pushing the boundaries of multimedia story creation in a variety of ways. The addition of a 10,000 items costume store to http://store.RolePages.com early this spring created a new emphasis on visual media. This contest is continuing that trend, by encouraging an outpouring of video submissions from members of the community. http://www.RolePages.com was created in the summer of 2010 by the mysterious Joseph Gambit. Since then it has become a thriving community of creative and talented people who engage in storytelling using every form of media available. The interactive features are based on general social networking tools, with members taking on the roles of their characters, who are then guided by site appointed Directional Moderators. The RolePages costume character video contest runs until November 3rd at 11:59 pm est. The winners will be determined based on votes made on the official contest page. One vote, per person, per video. End
