Cox Chevy Sponsors Fundraiser for Bailey's Buddies

Cox Chevy provided the sign sponsorship for the latest Bailey’s Buddies fundraiser, which raised over $6,000 for the care and treatment of dogs who have been afflicted with cancer.

Set up as a non-profit organization, Bailey’s Buddies is dedicated to helping out dog owners that are financially challenged when their beloved pet has been diagnosed with cancer. As a relatively young charity, they are currently looking to provide aid to both families and funding canine cancer research.

Beyond assisting dogs and their owners, Bailey’s Buddies seeks to promote improved treatment for dogs, including improved veterinary access and care. This also means providing more public awareness about dog cancer, including the success rate of treatment.

Rescued from the Manatee County Humane Society in 1998, Bailey was a 15-month survivor of Hemangiosarcoma and Intestinal Lymphoma. The dog survived, eventually passing away in 2011, and inspired his family to help others in similar situations.
