RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. - Oct. 13, 2013 - PRLog -- Here are some startling facts: Nearly five children die every day in the United States from abuse and neglect. In 2011, an estimated 1,570 children died from abuse and neglect in the United States. More than 78% of reported child fatalities were the result of abuse and neglect caused by one or more of the child victim’s parents. According to data from the National Child Abuse and Neglect Data System (NCANDS), 51 States reported a total of 1,545 fatalities. Based on the data, this translates to an average of five children dying every day from abuse or neglect.
