By: Young Girls Write Too As Regional Director, Ms. Ryan will be responsible for managing YGWT’s program with the responsibility of addressing the changing development challenges of various regions. YGWT’s programs empowers girls to succeed. The organization works with female students in underserved high schools through all four years using project based learning and professional exposure while combining bonding, learning, and activity for a weekend long adventure every summer. At the end of YGWT Academy, girls will graduate high school equipped with the real world experiences along with a portfolio of their process. In North America, she will support YGWT programs that seek to strengthen all chapters across the country, create internship opportunities, improve learning and job skills, promote basic education, and create international relations. Prior to this assignment, Ms. Ryan served as the Director of D.I.V.A.S, a nonprofit for women’s empowerment, and she served as the Founder of Louisiana Black Independent Film Association. Ms. Ryan has over 20 years of development experience. “Diamond has served with great distinction as a supervisor and leader of public relations and other business to business development,” Ms. Ryan said, “I am honored to have been chosen as the regional director of YGWT. As a long time working professional in business relations, I have worked closely with politicians and school officials all over the country and have been enormously impressed by some of their talent, professionalism, and dedication to ensuring this program becomes available.
