Congratulations to the Winners of the Slantress 2013 Inspire Awards

Oct. 18, 2013 - PRLog -- On June 22nd, the hard workers of the Slantress Magazine Team were busy finishing on last minute preparations. Two photography teams were there to get all the scenes and guest as they came pouring in. Everyone was excited to see who would have the honor of going home with the angelic figure of the Inspire Award.

The opening performance by 2 time Grammy Award Winner Ann Nesby, was right on time with her song with Sounds of Blackness, "Optimistic". Shortly following Mrs. Nesby were presenters for the Awards. Throughout the program we were honored with performance by R&B Singer Brett Gay, The Voice's Tarralyn Ramsey, The Gospel Group Heaven Sent, Violinist Chelsey Green, Stacy Lattisaw; whom gave an amazing presentation but honored us with, “Love on a Two-Way Street", and let's not forget the whole night we were able to enjoy the music from EC3 and his band. Immediately following the event guest and honorees were able to attend a after party to celebrate in the Awards Show event and let their hair down since it was a successful evening for all who assisted and participate in the wonderful evening.

Deborah Buynum Billips, CEO of Slantress Magazine, and her staff have truly set the bar high for the next Annual Event. The Slantress 2014 Inspire Awards date has already been set, so keep your calendars clear for Saturday September 27, 2014 at the Westin BWI.
