BATH, U.K. - Oct. 31, 2013 - PRLog -- As part of The Great Bath Feast, and in honour of Mary Berry’s talk on Tuesday 29th October 2013, hobsons|choice hosted a ‘Baking with Steam’ demonstration at their bulthaup Bath showroom.

Gaggenau’s expert Home Economist, Allison Sawyer, demonstrated to you how to best use a combination steam oven to bake a variety of moist, delicious cakes inspired by the recipes of Mary Berry. The fully booked, invitation only event, provided attendees with the opportunity to learn new recipes and question Allison about their own experiences and appliances.

Richard Carter, hobsons|choice Managing Director, commented; “The ‘Baking with Steam’ event has been a great success and I am very pleased with both my team and our guest’s interactions. It felt like a real conversation in which everyone had the chance to speak openly and find out more about one of the most recent innovations in home cooking.”

To bring an element of competition to the event guests were asked to decorate cupcakes which were then judged by Allison with the top three winning bulthaup kitchen aprons. An owner of a combination steam oven commented; “I thought I knew what my steam oven could do but Allison has shown me I was only using a fraction of its capabilities!” Guests who were new to steam oven cooking were amazed the quality of the bakes; “The cakes were so moist and delicious, I am seriously considering a new oven now.”
