Pittsburgh Cancer Survivors Team Up With Upmc To Create Pink Glove Video To Benefit Hair Peace

Hair Peace Charities raises money to help women buy wigs while undergoing chemotherapy treatment
 
PITTSBURGH - Oct. 31, 2013 - PRLog -- Hair Peace Charities has partnered with the staff at UPMC Cancer Center for the Pink Glove Video National contest. With the most email votes the local charity would win $25,000, 2nd place $10,000 or 3rd place $5,000.

Communities around the country are rallying around their own video entries featuring cancer survivors. In order for Hair Peace Charities to win, people need to vote and pass along the information to family, friends and co-workers.

Hair Peace Charities helps women and girls in Western PA who have hair loss from any type of cancer treatment.  Local cancer survivors along with the staff at UPMC hospitals created the music video for contest submission to the Sara Barilles song called Brave.

In 2013 alone, more than 400 women in the Pittsburgh area benefitted from Hair Peace Charities. Over 500 women are expected to receive assistance from the charity in 2014. For more information on the charity please visit www.hairpeace.org.
