The BOSS Industry Awards Book of the Night Digitally Printed on Mirri Holographic for HP Indigo

READING, U.K. - Nov. 1, 2013 - PRLog -- The BOSS (British Office Supplies & Services) Federation is a non-profit organisation that represents all businesses along the distribution supply chain in the office products industry. Representing all the major manufacturers, wholesalers, contract stationers, dealer groups and independent dealers and distributors, the BOSS Federation has evolved over the years to front the demands of an ever-changing industry. The BOSS Industry Awards recognises and rewards companies and individuals who are able to demonstrate excellence and success within their business and the Office products industry.

Last year Helen Dunn, Senior Marketing Manager for the BOSS federation and the BPIF (British Printing Industries Federation), contacted Mirri to help them create a stunning booklet for the awards evening. The result was spectacular, and this year she wanted to create a book of the night that once again that reflected the evening’s prestigious ceremony. The newly released Mirri Holographic for HP Indigo was chosen to create the front cover of the booklet. This substrate has recently been certified for use on the HP Indigo printing machines, including the 5000, 5500, 5600, 7000, 7500 & 7600. This booklet’s finished size was 210mm x 210mm and was printed on 315MIC/220GSM.

The booklet was digitally printed by 1st Byte, a leading digital printer based in London, on the HP Indigo with 4 colour plus white for the front cover using the Mirri Holographic for HP Indigo substrate. They also digitally printed the inside pages onto Claro Silk 150GSM paper. The booklet contains the finalists for the evening as well as the menu and a welcome message from the Chief Executive of the BOSS Federation, Michael Gardner.

As we are a licensed Color-LogicTM printer, the software allows us to create the dramatic metallic effects with white ink quickly and easily”

Jennifer Deacon, Marketing Manager at Mirri, added; “It was great to work with the BOSS Federation and the BPIF once more on creating a stunning booklet. Using the newly certified Mirri Holographic for HP Indigo allows us to show the high level of quality that can be achieved using the substrate. And because it has been digitally printed, it is a very efficient way to produce 600 copies of the cover with minimal need for make ready.”

Each year the BOSS Industry Awards ceremony attracts up to 500 industry professionals and guests to the Gala style Black Tie event. This year the glittering ceremony was held at The International Convention Centre in Birmingham on the 24th October 2013.
