Dallas-Fort Worth Area Hospital CEO Honored as “Up and Comer” by Modern Healthcare

DALLAS - Nov. 4, 2013 - PRLog -- ROWLETT, Texas – Brett Lee, chief executive officer of Lake Pointe Health Network (LPHN) (http://www.lakepointemedical.com/en-US/Pages/default.aspx), has been honored as an "Up and Comer" by Modern Healthcare (http://www.modernhealthcare.com/article/20130921/INFO/130929996/-2013-up-comers-text-list). Co-sponsored by Witt/Kieffer, an Illinois-based executive search firm, the annual program recognizes outstanding young professionals in the healthcare management industry under the age of 40. Honorees are chosen for their significant contributions in healthcare administration, management or policy.

Since becoming CEO roughly a year ago Lee has supervised strategic, operational and clinical activities for the entire network, which is comprised of a 112-bed hospital in Rowlett and nine outpatient centers in surrounding communities. LPHN is operated by Tenet Healthcare , which Lee also represents on the Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council (DFWHC) board.

As a member of the Rockwall/Rowlett community, he also serves on the Rockwall Chamber of Commerce board of directors and the City of Heath Planning and Zoning board of adjustments.

Before serving at LPHN, Lee acted as senior vice president and chief operating officer at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. He has also held executive positions at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis and Children’s Medical Center in Dallas.

After earning a degree from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, he received graduate degrees from Johns Hopkins School of Public Health and The University of Pennsylvania.  Lee also earned a doctorate from the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Sciences.
