LOS ANGELES - Nov. 7, 2013 - PRLog -- Runner, Visionary, Change, the three words best to describe CNN Hero, Anne Mahlum. The city has a new angel. Mahlum launched the eleventh chapter of 'Back On My Feet' in Los Angeles last week.

In 2008, Mahlum was named a Top 10 CNN Hero. In our book she is #1. 'Back on My Feet.' promotes the self-sufficiency of homeless people by engaging in running as a means to build confidence, strength and self-esteem. The organization was founded in Philadelphia in 2007.

Currently BoMF has chapters in Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Austin, Atlanta, New York, Indianapolis, Los Angeles and Long Beach, CA. To date, Back on My Feet has more than three thousand active members and has assisted more than thirten hundred individuals find a better way of life through running.
