Hacienda Hotel and Casino Purchase Highlights a Busy Third Quarter for Dotty’s Tavern and Casinos

LAS VEGAS - Nov. 8, 2013 - PRLog -- Dotty’s Tavern and Casinos had a busier than usual third quarter of 2013, highlighted by the announcement of its purchase of the Hacienda Hotel and Casino near Boulder City on US Highway 93.

         The acquisition, which was formally announced by the family-owned company on August 6, is pending liquor and gaming approvals from Nevada state gaming regulators and the Clark County Commission, a process that could take until the end of this year. The sale would result in  Dotty’s aquiring operations of the Hacienda’s 19,000 square casino, including a 389-room hotel tower, restaurants, meeting space, gift shop, and cinema sitting on 11 acres. The Hacienda has 275 employees and also owns 21 acres across the street, currently occupied by a gas station.

         “We have an amazing team at Dotty’s and look forward to the opportunity of operating our first casino with a hotel,” said Ally Estey, Dotty’s marketing and store development director. Estey added that Hacienda employees will be allowed to reapply for jobs at the property or within Dotty’s.

Other third-quarter highlights include:

·      Dotty’s and its employees gave $49,000 to local charities, including $10,000 to Nathan Adelson Hospice, $9,600 to Share, $9,000 to the University of Nevada Reno and $10,000 to Global Gaming Women Charitable Education Fund.

·      The company added 4 new locations in Nevada, bringing the total number of new locations statewide this year to 15.
