Apple Dodges Taxes-People Pay The Price

SAN JOSE, Calif. - Nov. 13, 2013 - PRLog -- MONDAY NOVEMBER 18, 2013 during National Homelessness Awareness Week, The CHAM Group "HEAL THE VALLEY" will speak out at Apple World Headquarters.

Apple causes sequesters and growing poverty when it fails to pay fair taxes and starves government programs. It causes homelessness when it plans the irresponsible new Cupertino campus that will aggravate Silicon Valley’s affordable housing crisis. Apple’s “spaceship” will cause a housing shortage of 6000 housing units in Santa Clara County alone.

This is the first in a campaign of monthly vigils at Apple that will highlight the real causes of poverty and homelessness in America. These are not unavoidable natural disasters or caused by the will of God or other factors beyond our control. They are caused by a broken economic system and subservient politicians who have sold their souls to corporations and forgotten their people. Every time a corporate CEO goes to Washington to lobby for tax breaks, low income people experience cuts in affordable housing and social programs.


NOTE: The gathering will be at the corner of Homestead and De Anza Boulevard at 11 am, where parking is available, then march across the 280 overpass to get to Apple.
