Award-winning short film JUNK gets World Online Premiere

Nov. 13, 2013 - PRLog -- JUNK is the multi-award winning short film produced at London animation studio Th1ng by house director Kirk Hendry.  It was made with support from the UK Film Council's 'New Cinema Fund' and tells the story of a boy with an obsession for junk food and the importance of following your gut instinct!

"C'est super!" exclaimed Sylvain Chomet (The Triplets of Belleville, The Illusionist, Atilla Marcel) after seeing it. Sylvain wasn't the only one to like it: Junk has had official selections at over 100 film festivals around the world after premiering at the prestigious Annecy International Animation Festival in France. It has gone on to win numerous prizes along the way including The Creative Circle Awards (Most Promising Newcomer), Festival du Film Merveilleux et Imaginaire in Paris (Best Screenplay and Best Music), The Pentedattilo Film Festival in Italy (Best Animation), as well as nominations for 'Best Short Film' at the British Independent Film Awards, British Animation Awards, Rushes Soho Shorts and BAFTA (longlisted for Best Short Animation).
