By: Dror for the Wounded Foundation The annual Dror for the Wounded gala in New York City draws a large crowd of young professionals, as well as more mature professionals in law, finance, and entertainment. The formal evening will feature live music by SpiceRack with special guest singer, Dov Hoschander. There will be an open bar with Israeli wine tasting by IWPA, and gourmet Mediterranean cuisine will be provided by Beth Torah Caterers. A silent raffle for the evening is being sponsored by Brown Rudnick, Dental Savings, Michal Negrin, Shula Ltd., Krav Maga Academy, and others. The special guest speaker for the evening will be Izzy Ezagui. Izzy lost his arm in a mortar attack during Operation Cast Lead. After being told he could no longer serve in the military because of his injury, Izzy insisted on returning to the front. He proved his ability to fight, despite having only one arm, and rejoined a combat unit. Izzy was raised in the U.S., but his love of Israel motivated him to join the army. Funds raised from this important evening will go towards various projects to help the wounded in their rehabilitation and recovery process. The night is sure to be one of inspiration, entertainment and support. The Dror for the Wounded Foundation provides financial assistance and emotional support to severely wounded veterans of the Israel Defense Forces. The organization was founded by IDF veteran Dror Dagan, after he was severely wounded on a mission to arrest a terrorist, leaving Dror paralyzed from the waist down. When he was recovering, Dror made a vow to do something for other wounded soldiers to minimize the difficulties they face during injury and recovery. He founded Dror for the Wounded for this purpose, together with Eli K. Benson. Tickets can be purchased for $95 at http://www.jspace.com/ End
