The 2014 Honda Civic Coupe Makes its Debut at the 2013 SEMA Show

Nov. 13, 2013 - PRLog -- Featuring a variety of exterior styling updates, the sequel to Canada’s best-selling passenger car will be arriving at Sun Valley Honda in Medicine Hat soon. The 2014 Honda Civic Coupe boasts a new grille with a more aggressive appearance, a new hood with sharper angles, and an updated headlight design that wraps further around the front end.

The 2014 Honda Civic Coupe Si was also revealed at the 2013 SEMA show. Honda announced that the new Civic Coupe Si will come equipped with increased power thanks to a retuned exhaust system that helps boost peak output to 205 hp and 174 lb-ft of peak torque. The Si trim level has always been performance-oriented, but it seems Honda is looking to take things to the next level with larger 18-inch wheels and tires for tighter handling.

Exclusive Si exterior design differences include a lower front bumper garnish unique to the Si trim, a larger rear decklid spoiler, and an athletic rear air diffuser. It was announced that the 2014 Honda Civic Coupe and Sedan Si will feature the same design cues.

Other notable announcements from Honda during the 2013 SEMA show include the sale of street-oriented performance parts developed by Honda’s own performance development branch. The first performance accessories available are for the Honda CR-Z sport hybrid coupe, currently for sale in the United States. The Honda Performance Development team is currently investigating other Honda models and platforms to expand their street performance product line.

The 2013 SEMA show displayed a multitude of 2014 Honda Civic models, including a new Civic Coupe EX-L that was equipped with a Honda Genuine Accessories aero kit and HPD Civic performance concept vehicles.
