HOUSTON - Nov. 14, 2013 - PRLog -- Please read carefully if you plan to attend the Proclamation Celebration here in Houston. Some things have changed.

and listen to Houston City Council Member Melissa Noriega as she

introduces the Native American Month Proclamation


Mayor Annise Parker Of Houston Texas, Will Make A Proclamation Honoring Native Americans.

Come celebrate this eventful day. We are calling on and asking all Native Americans and Native American representatives of all Nations in Texas to attend. Native Americans are invited to come in regalia or proper attire representing their tribe.

Following all comments a photo will be taken with council member Melissa Noriega and Annise Mayor Parker with designated leaders and guests.

We are asking everyone to arrive at 1:00 p.m. at City Hall Chambers, 901 Bagby Street, Houston, TX. 77002, 2nd floor.
Proclamation event will begin promptly at 1:30 p.m.

Following the Presentation of the Proclamation at City Hall, everyone is invited to celebrate at Southern Apache Museum at; 9600 Hempstead Hwy. Entrance B, 550 Northwest Mall, Houston TX. 77092 (http://r20.rs6.net/tn.jsp?e=001o-dJ49lMf23TVcqYgIcpC8MjDi...), and celebrate with Flute player, Yellow Hawk (Lakota Nation), Drummer/Singer/(Author of "The Pipe and The Pen"), Larry Running Turtle Salazar (Cherokee/Mescalero Nation), Grass Dancer, Kirk Archambault (Dakota Nation).

Native American Vendors can setup items to sell for a small donation of $5.00! One six foot table with two chairs will be provided for vendors. If you would like to setup a table please e-mail bluewolf77447@aol.com  ASAP or call Chance L. Landry at 281-686-1462, as table space is limited. Vendors are encouraged to set up early at Southern Apache Museum. Doors to the museum will open at 8:30 a.m.

Following the celebration at Southern Apache Museum a reception will be held between 6:30 - 8:30p.m. at the United Way building at 50 Waugh Drive, Houston, TX (http://r20.rs6.net/tn.jsp?e=001o-dJ49lMf23TVcqYgIcpC8MjDi...) 77007
. "Indian Market" will be open for vendors. Don't miss out on the opportunity to setup again at the United Way building to sell items for a small donation of $5.00. Informational table will be FREE. Please
