PRLog -- Institute of Management Studies, Noida hosted the Marathon ‘
RUN FOR HEALTH’ on 10
th November 2013. Around 200 people from corporate and IMS faculty and IMS students attended the event. President of IMS Rajeev Kr Gupta inaugurated the event. The Marathon involved two types of run - 5K/10K. Despite the chill, the run started sharp at 6.30 am and over 250 runners from Delhi, Gurgaon, Faridabad and other regions of NCR comprising of corporate executives, academicians and students participated. The age of participants varied from 10 to 70 years, comprising of more than 33% females. Reebok, Max Health and Noida police provided the back-up support. Participants who completed the run were awarded a certificate and medal. Several runners who completed the 10k run are preparing for the Airtel marathon. Immediately after the run the participants were shown clippings of the run.
The top three winners in the 5K were from IMS Noida. The event was extremely successful and coordinated by Prof P K Agarwal, Ms Surabhi Singh and Karan Kilam from IMS and Mr Rahul Verghese from Running and living foundation.
