LOUIS AIRWAVES TO SUPPORT THE RADIO ARTS FOUNDATION – St. Louis FOR ONE DAY ONLY, FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 2014 WHAT: St. Louis legend, Radio Rich Dalton, will return to the radio airwaves for one morning only to support the Radio Arts Foundation – St. Louis and to celebrate the station’s first six months on the air. Dalton will be joined by other St. Louis personalities including jazz pianist Herb Drury on-air as part of the station’s first “Support the Arts Day.” The goal of the day is to raise money to endow the station’s operating budget and further its unique mission. Radio Arts Foundation-St. Louis (RAF-STL) is dedicated to bringing classical music and the arts to the St. Louis public airwaves. The station operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and offers the St. Louis region a broad and invigorating radio format, both on analog radio at 107.3 FM and in hybrid digital at KIHT 96.3 HD2. Broadcasts are also streamed live at www.rafstl.org. WHO: The station’s mission is to be a nucleus for the cultural and performing arts community in the St. Louis area to connect, grow and flourish for years to come. RAF-STL accomplishes this through the programming and outreach efforts of a classical music station broadcasting 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. The station partners with distinguished local arts organizations, as well as solo and chamber artists, to broadcast performances, conduct in-depth interviews, air behind-the-scenes programs, and cover the local arts and cultural scene. Beyond classical music, RAF-STL is dedicated to jazz, blues and opera – promoting the finest regional arts and cultural organizations, as well as uniquely talented individuals.
