Simi YMCA Preschool Accepting Enrollees

SIMI VALLEY, Calif. - Nov. 14, 2013 - PRLog -- Simi Valley, Calif.—The Simi Valley Family YMCA’s state licensed preschool is accepting enrollment for children ages 2 1/2 to 5. The preschool is on the Royal High School campus (1402 Royal Ave.) in Simi Valley.

         Full and part time openings are available. Preschool hours are 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Children can attend four to five days a week (full time) or two to three days a week or half days (part time). The preschool has a 1 to 12 staff/children ratio and all staff members have completed at least 12 Early Childhood Education Unit college courses.

         The curriculum includes science and mathematics, fine and gross motor skills, cognitive development, language and cultural arts, nutrition, computer awareness and value lessons. “There are also plenty of inside and outside play time and fun group activities,” says Stacey Huff, Simi Y’s senior program director.

         The Simi YMCA preschool accepts Child Development Resources (CHR), Children’s Home Society (CHS) and First 5 students. Financial assistance is available for those in need. Children must be potty trained.
