Design and print a great business card

Business cards that have been well designed are the ones your customers will retain.

NOTTINGHAM, U.K. - Nov. 18, 2013 - PRLog -- In printing over the years I have seen some terrible artworks, really dreadful, a regular comment would have been my neighbours 2 year old could do better, and even designers had been paid to produce these poor works for our customers. I am not a designer by profession but I do love art, painting and photographs (taken by others as the modern camera gets the better of me far too many buttons). So just a few simple thoughts maybe will engineer a creative impressive business card for you and your company on your next business card print run.

The business cards that have been designed well are the ones you like and remember, these are obvious to the naked eye, where the passion of what they are to remonstrate come across to the persons they are being handed them to.

First of all decide on choice of design, you can use a photograph, drawing or picture as a backdrop or to have on part of your card. If you struggle with ideas enlist help from family, friends and colleagues make it a joint/team effort.

Decide on a colour scheme, very important to experiment with colours and colour variations, this opens up so much more choice.

Add a logo, if you don't have a Logo design one

And importantly the information you are wanting on your card, e.g. Company Name, your name, address, telephone numbers, mobile numbers, fax number, email and website. However, too much text on a business card can be overloading and the text would have to be small, this is where font sizes and card size can help with this insertion.

Also font size & style and maybe add the extras like spot UV, this is mainly used for logos, or add gold or silver text..

Most business cards are credit card size, however you can have a larger version 90*54mm this just gives you that bit more 'billboard' space.

If you feel you need more space have a double sided card, if you still require more space have a folded business card this gives you four times more.

Before you start check out other cards that may have impressed you, maybe link the style of business card to your website, this is what I did as I felt people would recognise both in doing this, see design below.

Sometimes restraints are in place as you have a standard company colour scheme & logo so this could be added to maybe a faint background picture giving it softer focusing..

E printing offer business cards from £2.99 for 200 on 300gsm (this is a nice thickness for a business card) and the mat laminate finish gives a non-reflective smooth finish and true luxury quality.

So with your newly implemented design added passion onto a luxury quality finished card printed by E Printing, your new card will be in the business card we remember category.

One final point if you treat your business card as a piece of ART the creativity in you will aspire you to produce your best!
