LIFESAVER® responds to Philippines Disaster with first shipment of 2,500 jerrycans

COLCHESTER, U.K. - Nov. 20, 2013 - PRLog -- LIFESAVER® systems, the UK-based manufacturer of bottles and jerrycans featuring its own patented life-saving water purification technology, has just    despatched its first 40 pallets of LIFESAVER® jerrycans, destined for the Philippines.

Ordered by Oxfam, as part of the Department for International Development’s (DFID) RRF initiative, these 2,500 LIFESAVER® jerrycans will enable thousands of Filipinos living in the disaster areas to have access to sterile, clean drinking water indefinitely.

LIFESAVER® systems, based in Essex, is a key supplier to the UK Government’s Rapid Response Facility (RRF), within DFID. The RRF is a network of pre-approved specialist aid organisations and private businesses who can rapidly deliver emergency medical, water and sanitation assistance to affected people. Through the RRF, the UK Government can quickly commit humanitarian funding to these pre-qualified partners, ensuring a swift response to humanitarian disasters.
