By: Cathedral Choral Society/Nicole Hawkins Comm This year’s performance will combine traditional carols with new musical discoveries including the world premiere of the 2013 Carol Commission, made possible by the Richard Wayne Dirksen Memorial Endowment Fund. American composer Richard Einhorn has composed a neo-Medieval setting of the thirteenth-century text, Syng We, Syng We! CCS welcomes premier Latino chorus, Cantigas, under the direction of its founder Diana Sáez, brings music from Latin America. The concert will also feature the Washington Symphonic Brass, Carillonneur Edward Nassor and Organist Todd Fickley. “We are very excited to be collaborating with Cantigas and the Washington Symphony Brass. This concert will have something for everyone and be the perfect way to welcome in the Holiday Season” said J. Reilly Lewis. "No concert hall, no matter how bedecked with seasonal trimmings can match the beauty and grandeur of this Cathedral in bringing Joy of Christmas to all people.” Ticket prices begin at $25. The December 14 at noon matinee performance is a family matinee and is designed for families with children.
