Simi YMCA Winter Swim Lessons Begin Jan. 6, Registration Opens Dec. 2

SIMI VALLEY, Calif. - Nov. 20, 2013 - PRLog -- Simi Valley, Calif.—The Simi Valley Family YMCA will hold winter swim lessons from January 6 through February 22. Signups begin December 2. Classes take place at the Simi Y’s heated indoor swimming pool (3200 Cochran St., Simi Valley).

         YMCA swim classes are structured around a child-centered learning model and children are divided into ability-appropriate levels. Swim lessons emphasize personal water safety, swimming skills, endurance and social skills. “Our trained instructors always guide students with praise and encouragement,” says Andrea Isbell, Simi Y’s aquatics director. “The lessons are also a great way for kids to get exercise no matter what the weather is outside.”

         Lessons are held once a week on Mondays through Thursdays and on Saturdays.
