Cutting Edge Publisher Announces Five New Imprints

Nov. 22, 2013 - PRLog -- In a bold move, and in the face of continuing retreat by many mainstream and traditional publishers, Eddie Jones, Founder of Lighthouse Publishing of the Carolinas (LPC), is bringing to market five new imprints.  Jones made the announcement this week from the company’s headquarters in Raleigh, NC.

According to Jones, LPC was founded to create new outlets for authors of fiction of various genres, and non-fiction, who reject the, “long-press-run, warehouse-inventorying, book store-stocking, sit on the shelf and return after ninety days, book publishing model.”  By creating a new publishing model focused on e-book or print-on-demand distribution, Jones says, “LPC creates opportunities for new and established authors, while providing assistance with marketing and publicity, and generous royalty arrangements, including monthly royalty payments.”

The new imprints include Firefly Southern Fiction, which will publish “stories of the South, her peoples, and her faith;” and Guiding Light Women’s Fiction, which LPC states will focus on, “compelling stories, beautifully written.”

Sonrise Books will publish “devotionals for the believer’s heart, soul and mind.”  Candlelight Love, will publish stories of inspirational romance.

According to Jones, Heritage Beacon Fiction will endeavor to publish historical fiction in the literary traditions of C. S. Lewis, Dorothy Sayers and G. K. Chesterton, authors with a Christian worldview who wrote for the secular world.

Jones is in the process of hiring a managing editor for each of the imprints.  “The individuals I’m talking with are top flight in their field, and I feel confident that when we are able to announce their appointments, that authors and booksellers will be impressed.”
