Employees donated their time and services at nine different locations throughout the area including: · Prince George's County Public Schools o Gwynn Park High School o Frederick Douglas Bus Lot o Earnest Everitt Just Middle School o Mattaponi Elementary School/Chapel Forge ECC o Oaklands Elementary School o Mt. Ranier Elementary School · Prince George’s County Parks & Recreation, Colmar Manor Park · Charles County Public School, Wade Elementary School · Anne Arundel County Parks & Recreation, Camp Letts Volunteers worked to improve the facilities at each location through a variety of tasks, such as landscaping, painting and various types of construction. “As a leader in our community it is vital that we take the opportunity to invest in the groups and organizations within our area,” said Rick Howarth, park president at Six Flags America. “We want to spend a day investing in those who provide special services to our guests, our community, and our state. I’m so proud of our entire staff for the work they will be doing and their devotion to our community.” Six Flags America is a strong partner and supporter of local non-profit giving generously to non-profit organizations through the donation of tickets for auctions or raffles, annual support of the international Give Kids the World program, and Six Flags’ own Read to Succeed. Tickets valued at approximately $90,000 are donated each year by Six Flags America.
