Miami’s Performing Arts Center Trust Board of Directors Welcomes Javier Hernandez-Lichtl

MIAMI - Nov. 22, 2013 - PRLog -- MIAMI, FL – The Performing Arts Center Trust (PACT) Board of Directors welcomes Javier Hernandez-Lichtl, who was appointed by Miami-Dade County Commissioner Juan C. Zapata. The PACT board is comprised of business, civic and philanthropic leaders who oversee management of the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County.

The PACT board also amended its bylaws to enable Mike Eidson to continue serving as Chair for another two-year term. Additional members of the slate of officers elected include: Alan Fein as the Chair Elect, Ricky Arriola as the Immediate Past Chair, Emery Sheer as Treasurer, Ira Hall as Assistant Treasurer, Richard Milstein as Secretary and Evelyn Greer as Assistant Secretary.

Hernandez-Lichtl serves as CEO of West Kendall Baptist Hospital, Baptist Health South Florida’s first academic medical facility. He has been with Baptist Hospital for more than 20 years, previously serving as executive vice president and chief administrative officer at Baptist Health, as well as CEO of Baptist Health Enterprises, and Baptist Outpatient Services

“With years of experience helping to manage one of South Florida’s largest community-based healthcare systems, Javier brings a deep understanding of business leadership and nonprofit governance to the Adrienne Arsht Center’s diverse board,” said Mike Eidson, Chairman of the Performing Arts Center Trust Board of Directors. “I look forward to partnering with Javier and our fellow board members over the coming years as we work to secure the resources needed to expand the Arsht Center’s community impact.”

Hernandez-Lichtl has held a number of volunteer leadership positions, including the Healthcare Division campaign for United Way of Miami-Dade, later serving on the organization’s board of directors.  He also served on the advisory boards for the University of Miami School of Nursing and the Florida International University Honors College.  He earned his master’s degree in public health administration from Tulane University in New Orleans and his undergraduate degree from Holy Cross College.
