MediPurpose Signs Medical Device Private Label Deal with EKF Diagnostics

ATLANTA - Nov. 22, 2013 - PRLog -- MediPurpose™, a master distributor and manufacturer of medical products, today announced a private label agreement for its SurgiLance™ safety lancet with EKF Diagnostics.

The five-year agreement will provide the Welsh point-of-care (POC) diagnostics equipment manufacturer with private-labeled SurgiLance safety lancets for its POC blood analysis equipment, which are used in tests for glucose, lactate, hemoglobin, hematocrit and HbA1c.

EKF Diagnostics manufactures a range of equipment that analyze vital organ functions through blood values. Its latest offering is the Quo-Lab, which tests the HbA1c levels in the bloodstream. HbA1c values are the best long-range indicators of elevated blood glucose levels and are used in both the detection of pre-diabetes, as well as in monitoring blood sugar control in Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes patients.
