Top Chef Stefan Richter Spends the Day in a Wheelchair to Support NextStep Charity

LOS ANGELES - Nov. 25, 2013 - PRLog -- Top Chef Stefan Richter is giving back this holiday season by spending one day of his life in a wheelchair on Monday, November 25^th, 2013  to support the NextStep Charity.  Between running a fast-paced Santa Monica restaurant and constantly being in the celebrity limelight, Stefan’s life will be dramatically altered for a day. He hopes this day spent in a wheelchair will help to educate, inspire, support and raise awareness of people living with disabilities.

The NextStep Wheelchair for a Day Challenge (WFD) is an annual global public awareness and fundraising campaign aimed at increasing awareness about accessibility issues, and the lack of adequate healthcare, and affordable rehabilitation services for people living with paralysis and mobility impairments.

Restaurateur and Top Chef, Stefan Richter explained, “My recent test run in the wheelchair was an eye opening experience. Monday will definitely be a hurdle to overcome, but I look forward to gaining a better perspective on the challenges the physically disabled encounter on a daily basis.”
