CHEYENNE, Wyo. - Nov. 30, 2013 - PRLog -- BabyGearLab.com today released the winners for its 2014 Top Stroller Review. The website is known for their detailed reviews, led by Board Certified Pediatrician and founder, Dr. Juliet Spurrier. The awards were determined based on a six-month testing cycle that pitted 21 of the top rated competing products against each other, and scored each in six categories including: ease-of-use, maneuverability, safety, quality/durability, weight/folded-size, and ease-of-setup.

The full details are available online on BabyGearLab.com: Top Strollers of 2014 Review.

Here are the winners:

- BOB Revolution SE earned an Editors’ Choice Award for its quality, functionality and maneuverability. “The BOB Revolution SE impressed us in our testing with its quality of workmanship, and outstanding maneuverability,” Dr. Spurrier said. “Even though it is a fully capable jogger, it is very popular for every day use. We decided to see how it would stack up against top rated standard-size strollers, and we were amazed to see how well it performed in every day tasks. It earned the highest overall performance score of any product in our tests.”

- UPPAbaby Vista also earned an Editors’ Choice Award for its expandability and luxury features like the reversible seat, quality bassinet, and large storage space. “We like the UPPAbaby Vista for several reasons, the Vista is made from eco-healthy materials, and it has the ability to carry a child from newborn to 5 years of age,” Dr. Spurrier explains. “Although premium priced the UPPAbaby manages to deliver higher performance at a lower price than top name competitors such as the Bugaboo Cameleon.”

- Stokke Xplory was chosen as a Top Pick for its innovative design, 3yr warranty and seat height. “Though the Xplory is expensive its design serves very pragmatic functions. For example the Xplory has the unique ability to bring the baby up to a table height perch,” Dr. Spurrier said, “This places baby at a similar height to a high-chair, which makes feeding easier and allows baby to be eye-to-eye with mom or dad.

- Britax B-Agile was also chosen as a Top Pick with its compact, easy to use design and quality materials at an attractive price point.  Dr. Juliette comments “The B-Agile is a nice looking well priced product which is going to lure those who are most interested in saving space or need to load and unload it from a vehicle frequently.”

- Graco LiteRider earned a Best Value Award for delivering exceptional ease of use and lightweight design at a very economical price. “The Graco LiteRider is an excellent option for the parent who is looking for a quality product that fits a limited budget. The LiteRider performed above average in the field of 21 products that we tested, which was significant, because it outscored many products costing hundreds of dollars more. It is a solid choice at a very affordable price,” Dr. Spurrier explained.

- Baby Trend Expedition also recieved a Best Value Award for its overall functionality and quality. “The Expedition is a wonderful value for anyone who likes the idea of off-pavement strolling,” Dr. Juliette explains. “But the real surprise is that the Expedition performed extremely well in everyday tasks from the crowded supermarket to navigating varied surfaces found at the park. The bigger wheels end up helping maneuver over all types of surfaces and aid in providing a soft ride for baby.”

BabyGearLab’s free online service provides an extensive and detailed review write-up that summarizes findings from hands-on testing, as well as the 30 specific lab tests. In addition, photos highlighting key details of each product are provided.

BabyGearLab editors have also published a buying advice guide titled, “How to Choose the Best Stroller”. This guide provides background information that is intended to be helpful for new parents facing a need to select a strolling product. In addition, the guide summarizes safety issues, citing Consumer Product Safety Commission statistics on the most common strolling-related injuries, and helping identify product features and capabilities that minimize health and safety risks.
