PLC control panel for VFD Centrifuge

Dec. 2, 2013 - PRLog -- Control panel is required for Centrifuge. Different centrifuge has different kinds of control panel. For fixed speed centrifuge, a small control panel is enough. For variable frequency drive centrifuge, can offer variable speed, a big one is required.

1. The advantages of PLC control panel, compared with conventional VFD control panel.

Firstly, PLC control panel is much more smaller than VFD control panel. The former one is around 800x500x1200mm; the later one is around 800x500x2000mm. The PLC control panel is lower in height, much easy on transportation.

Secondly, PLC control panel is easy to learn and operation. It is touch screen operation. You can input the required RPM, G-force and get the speed. And you can also control the feeding pump in the same way. On conventional VFD control, it is button operation.

Thirdly, PLC in developed by GN R&D dept, by top electric engineer. So far, only GN have this PLC control panel for centrifuge in solid control field.

2. Control panel used on US Brand

US brand also have different centrifuge equipped with VFD control panel or PLC control panel. Like NOV Brandt 2171 centrifuge, with VFD control panel. Derrick FHD centrifuge, is a fully hydraulic drive centrifuge, equipped with VFD control panel.
