NEW YORK - Dec. 6, 2013 - PRLog -- Gary Null (http://garynull.com/) is an American radio talk show host (http://prn.fm/) and author (http://garynullpublishing.com/). He advocates alternative medicine (http://gnhealthyliving.com/) and naturopathy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naturopathy). On his radio show, and in books and self-produced movies, Null criticizes the medical community (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medical_community), promotes a range of alternative cancer treatments (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alternative_cancer_treatments), denies that HIV causes AIDS (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HIV/AIDS_denialism), and promotes dietary supplements (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dietary_supplement) which he produces. Starting in 1979 and continuing through the 1980s, Null helped produce two series of articles for Penthouse (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Penthouse_(magazine), entitled "The Politics of Cancer" and "Medical Genocide".
In 2010, Null reported that he and six other consumers had been hospitalized – and that he had nearly died – of vitamin D poisoning (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypervitaminosis_D), after ingesting a nutritional supplement carrying his name and endorsement. Null sued a contractor involved in producing the product, alleging that each contained more than 1,000 times the dose of vitamin D (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vitamin_D) reported on the label.
His views on health and nutrition are at odds with scientific consensus; Stephen Barrett (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephen_Barrett), co-founder of the National Council Against Health Fraud (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Council_Against_Health_Fraud), described Null as "one of the nation's leading promoters of dubious treatment for serious disease".
