Abrakadoodle Art Opens Two New Locations in Florida and New York

Children’s art and creativity programs set to get underway in Orlando, Florida and Queens, New York

STERLING, Va. - Dec. 6, 2013 - PRLog -- Sterling, VA, December 6, 2013 – Abrakadoodle Remarkable Art Education is expanding its reach as it welcomes two new franchise units that will operate in Greater Orlando, Florida and the Borough of Queens, NY. With programs set to get underway this holiday season, children and families will soon benefit from access to creative art programs at Abrakadoodle’s newest locations. Abrakadoodle-Greater Orlando is led by franchise owner Tiffany Hill Brittain (photo, left), a resident of Avalon Park. Abrakadoodle-Queens is led by franchise owner Migdalia Ortiz (photo, right), a native New Yorker and resident of Richmond Hill.

Tiffany Hill Brittain (tbrittain@abrakadoodle.com) earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resource Management from the University of Maryland. Ms. Brittain has a passion for the arts and has several years of experience as an arts administrator with non-profit arts organizations in South Florida and Washington, D.C.  She is also a former dancer with experience in the performing arts to include Modern, African and Latin dance forms. She enjoys travelling as a way to experience the arts and culture of people around the world and has spent time in Europe, South America and India.  After returning to Florida from Virginia with her husband and young daughter, Ms. Brittain wrote a personal mission statement in which she identified her priority to work in an environment that allows her to express her own creativity; inspires others to be creative, and has a positive impact on the community. She remarked, “The quality of Abrakadoodle’s programs really impressed me, and I realized that I could accomplish my personal goals by joining this organization. With my educational background in business and my experience in the arts, I look forward to inspiring children in my community to express their creativity in our high quality visual arts program.”

Migdalia “Miggy” Ortiz (mortiz@abrakadoodle.com) possesses a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Computer Information Systems and Statistics from Baruch College, City University of New York. She was a Certified IBM Lotus Notes Application Developer and developed workflow databases for a fragrance and flavor company. Miggy additionally performed content management for the company’s intranet for the US headquarters. She enjoyed the creative aspects of her career that included web design/HTML/CSS/Photoshop CS, workstation support, networking, help desk and computer operations. After her IT job was outsourced, Migdalia focused on her three daughters (now 11, 14 and 18 years old) and was very involved as a volunteer in school leadership and the PTA. She has also inspired volunteerism in her children. Ms. Ortiz remarked, “The creative side of Abrakadoodle attracted me. I was seeking a business opportunity that reflected my passion for children, education and the arts; it had to be meaningful, and Abrakadoodle gives me the freedom to make a positive difference in my community.”
