By: Land Rover Hoffman Estates "The Motor Werks family is always happy to help the community,” said John Nelson, Centre Manager at Land Rover Hoffman Estates, “especially with a worthwhile organization like Toys for Tots. We’re hoping for a great turnout, with lots of toys being donated." New, unwrapped toys can be dropped off at the customer service desk at Land Rover Hoffman Estates anytime during their business hours, Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. All donated toys are collected and transported to a central community warehouse, where they are sorted according to the age and gender of the children for which they are suited. At Christmas, community coordinators, assisted by local social welfare agencies, church groups, and other community organizations, will distribute the toys to underprivileged children throughout the community. Toys for Tots is a not-for-profit charity run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve under the direction of the Commander of the Marine Forces Reserve. The success of the Toys for Tots campaign depends entirely upon the support of community organizations, businesses, and the generosity of people who donate gifts. Over the course of 66 years of being in operation, the Toys for Tots program reports that they have collected and distributed more than 469 million toys to over 216 million children from families in need. Land Rover Hoffman Estates is encouraging people throughout the Naperville, Schaumburg, and Oak Park area to join in this season of giving by stopping by their dealership (http://www.landroverhoffman.com/ End
