By: Jersey Express The Jersey Express put points on the board early, claiming a 60-52 lead at the half. The Staten Island Vipers played aggressively throughout, accumulating 22 fouls over the course of the game. Both teams were relentless on the court, with the Jersey Express racking up 22 fouls. Lawrence shot well converting on 13-of-23 field goal attempts to register 34 points. He also nailed three 3-pointers and was successful at the line making 5-of-6 free throws attempted. Antoine Obery led the Vipers with 32 points 12 of which were during the final period. Smush Parker (Brooklyn, NY) notched five 3-pointers and scored 22 points, 8 assists & 6 rebounds. Almin Hodzic also had double figures with 12 points and 8 rebounds. Charles Smith (Newark, NJ) had 9 points while Terry Hill (Newark, NJ) had 7, Melvin Creddle (Newark, NJ) with 4, and Donald Hennie (Hackensack, NJ) with 2. Jason Smith (Paterson, NJ), Travis Conyers (Jersey City, NJ) both had 8 points. Up next for the Express is the Boston North Shore Tide at Shabazz High School.
