Granted there are right and wrong ways to approach this method of advertising and presentations, but first it is important to note that it makes all the difference in at least starting in the right medium to be as successful as you possibly can. It goes without saying that; “The Money is in The List”. Okay, that being said, how well you create your list is where in lies the difference in just how successful you will be.

Another age old adage is; “You can’t sell ice to Eskimos, or snowshoes in Hawaii”, but you can sell an idea virtually anywhere. So, it is better to know your market and what you ‘can’ sell to those people on your email list. Having a great email list is only as good as the products you present to them.

A great product is only great to a matched email list of potential and hungry buyers. It is far better to feed hungry buyers than to open a smorgasbord to the general public. In other words, no matter how great your offer, if you have to first explain what it is you are selling and how it will benefit your buyers, you have already spent too much time on selling.

Successful email marketing begins with the right list of buyers. Knowing what your buyers are looking for is key to how successful and how much effort is really required to make the sales you are expecting. The product you offer should sell itself, you should only spend time finding the right list of buyers. This is not to say that you can’t sell the idea and then the product, but if you want to really focus on making as many sales as fast as possible, skip the salesmanship and focus on feeding the list of people already hungry to buy. This is what can make more difference to your bottom line than anything else.

Marketing of any kind usually focuses on the general population and then hopes to capture those specifically interested in what is being offered. This method involves more wasted time, effort, and cost than focusing on the most important part of all, matching product to buyers. A targeted list of buyers is without a doubt the most effective method of all.

Email marketing to a targeted list of buyers is the best way to be successful at selling your products and providing useful email to your recipients. Be kind and take the time to know your list of buyers and what it is they are wanting and expecting.
