The unveiling of Freehab will be celebrated with a Casino Night on December 22nd at the new facility. Every ticket purchased includes dinner, casino chips, and a chance to win a guitar signed by 10 guitar legends! Donating their time and expertise to create welcoming and luxurious rooms within the facility itself is local designer, Cynthia Vincent whose collection can be seen on such style icons as Blake Lively, Sienna Miller and Anne Hathaway, Turquoise LA and Vanessa De Vargas whose projects have been featured in such publications as Sunset, NY Times and InStyle, Vanessa Kogevinas of Get It! Consulting, a media and management service to professionals in the interior design industry and volunteers from Northrop Grumman.

In addition, A Good Night Sleep, a local organization dedicated to providing beds and bedding essentials to those transitioning from homelessness to permanent  housing will be donating 110 beds to the facility, making this effort its largest one to date and bringing its total of donated beds to 1,430.

The Teen Project consisting of a number of facets including Sober College Housing, The National Shelter Database, The Free TEXT Shelter Service, National Mentoring Program and the Venice Beach PAD (Protection and Direction) Drop-in Center has established itself as a “parent to the parentless” and assists in the difficult transition that foster teens often face when turning 18. With over 25,000 teens exiting the system each year with no parental support or guidance and a system that all but neglects them, The Teen Project and its many programs gives them a fighting chance!
