“Nursing Forward has a lot of energy and excitement behind it. It means that we are ready – ready to begin the next phase and the next chapter in the history of the North Carolina Nurses Association,” Since the middle of 2012, NCNA has been working closely with CapStrat, one of the most highly-regarded marketing firms in the state, to develop and implement the rebranding campaign. Over the course of more than a year, the NCNA Board of Directors received regular updates and approved a wide array of improvements to the association’ The new look and its corresponding style guide were intentionally chosen because they instantaneously bolster the perception of NCNA as a bold association and reinforce that nurses are innovative leaders who are helping reshape a rapidly evolving healthcare system. The phrase “Nursing Forward” was unanimously embraced as the best way to encapsulate that premise, and it will be a tagline that helps define NCNA for years to come. “It is vital that NCNA is recognized as a trusted partner for all nurses and a leader in the broader healthcare community,” said NCNA Chief Executive Officer Tina Gordon, MPA, CAE. “This logo and tagline give us a fresh set of tools to help accomplish that goal. Nursing Forward means a lot of things to a lot of people, which makes it a perfect vehicle for our messaging.” Since its unofficial debut at the NCNA Annual Convention in October, NCNA members have quickly embraced the Nursing Forward tagline.
