Follow on Google News | Santa Claus to Flee North PoleBecause of a polar shift and global warming, Santa Claus and his village at the North Pole must flee for their lives. Where will they move to?
In addition to Santa's troubles with the North Pole, he is embroiled in a public relations problem on the Internet with some particularly nasty characters. So he is fighting both man and Mother Nature. This is the premise of a new novel by Joe Moore entitled Glaciers Melt & Mountains Smoke. Glaciers Melt & Mountains Smoke is the third and final chapter of the Santa Claus Trilogy by Moore. His second in the series, Faith, Hope & Reindeer, is to become a major motion picture by the end of 2015. The first novel, which explains the origins of the North Pole Village and how everything came to be, is called Believe Again, The North Pole Chronicles. All three books are available throughout independent booksellers and at online websites like The North Pole Press, Amazon and Barnes & Noble. Moore has portrayed Santa Claus for going on a dozen years, and the Santa Claus Trilogy spun out of his portrayal. “These are much more than Christmas books, they show inspiration, determination and even perspiration. They explore lost and found faith, hope and how, if you can hang onto your dreams, miracles can and will happen,” Moore said. Moore says he drew upon scientific facts and said that the reason for the polar melt has less to do with global warming as it does polar shifting. “According to what I have researched, the poles have switched places several hundred times over the earth's history, and it may be happening again, and is actually long overdo,” stated Moore. He continued saying no one should be too alarmed, as this takes place over a thousand years before it completely changes, according to scientists that have studied this phenomenon. But the current melting of the polar ice cap is part of the initial result from this shift. So where is Moore moving the Clauses and their village? “The hint for that is in the title,” Moore says, “If Glaciers Melt than where would Mountains Smoke?” It is all he would say on the subject, not wanting to spoil it for his loyal readers. When asked how this will effect the legend of Santa Claus for future generations Moore smiled and said, “No one knew the names of Santa's reindeer before Clement Moore wrote A Visit From St. Nicholas, this just enhances the legend and gives Santa a new start.” Moore points out that Santa will have to change residence when the North Pole becomes entirely water anyway, he's just the moving company for the Clauses. Glaciers Melt & Mountains Smoke will be available in soft cover to the public on January 17th and an autographed copy can be ordered through The North Pole Press at http://thenorthpolepress.com. The Kindle version is already online and available. Moore's publisher, The North Pole Press, reports that both versions will include a FREE digital copy that can be downloaded to smart phones and tablets, along with other interesting features. Moore is lining up his book tour and was invited to the Tuscon Festival of Books in March 15, 2014. He is also planning several other book festivals and shows across the country. The schedule for his appearances can be found on The North Pole Press website soon. End
