Unibor runner up in Manufacturer of The Year Awards 2013 with Microsoft Dynamics NAV from Azzure IT

SHEFFIELD BUSINESS PARK, U.K. - Jan. 14, 2014 - PRLog -- Following its acquisition by Japanese tooling giant, Nitto Kohki, it was vital Unibor updated its ERP system to be able to deliver the strict financial reporting required by the Japanese stock exchange. The company implemented Microsoft Dynamics NAV in March 2013 with Azzure IT as the implementation partner.

The successful implementation saw the company nominated for the ICT in Manufacturing Award at the annual TMYA, hosted by The Manufacturer magazine at the ICC in Birmingham on December 4 2013. The judges were looking for the company that had made ‘the most significant progress in implementing and successfully operating an information and communication technology infrastructure with demonstrated return on investment’. Unibor was shortlisted with just five other finalists.

“We’re delighted to be a finalist in this years’ Manufacturer of The Year Awards. It’s a fantastic recognition of what we’ve achieved,” says Unibor’s finance director, Steve Bracey.

Founded over 30 years ago, Universal Drilling & Cutting Equipment is a world leader in the manufacture of broaching hole cutters and electro-magnetic drilling machines, which it sells under its Unibor brand. It exports 90% of its production to Europe and the USA.

The implementation of Microsoft Dynamics NAV has provided full integration across Unibor’s satellite offices, and dramatically improved management of the business, from purchase order through works order and sale orders, to accounts.
