SOLANA BEACH, Calif. - Jan. 14, 2014 - PRLog -- AislePlanner.com announced the release of its new cloud based wedding planning software today, ushering a new chapter in the future of online wedding planning. The new software brings together a unique combination of interactive planning tools, rich visual design elements and granular collaboration to create the ultimate wedding design and management tool. This modern approach to wedding planning connects the bride, planner and vendors to the planning process like never before making planning intuitive, efficient and economical.

Up until now, planning software for the $70 Billion a year wedding industry was dominated by outsiders, with little to no wedding planning experience, looking to monetize their businesses at the expense of the bride. As a former wedding planner, Aisle Planner’s President and Co-Founder, Christina Farrow, felt that disconnect from that part of  industry first hand. Knowing the challenges that faced planners, couples and wedding vendors and the lack of real suppport they were getting,  she new exactly what was needed to change things for the better. After the successful sale of her desitnation wedding planning business, she turned her attention and 13 years of wedding industry knowledge towards how technology was used to plan weddings.

“While I worked closely with my clients, we didn’t have one place that was easily accessible by all parties involved to keep track of the many details, document what’s been done, and coordinate what’s left to do,” says Farrow. “We knew early on that Aisle Planner had to be more then a glorified checklist or a set of instructions for planning a wedding. It needed to be a dedicated wedding planning app that allowed for easy sharing and collaboration between couples, their vendors and their planner, thereby connecting them all to the planning process. It also needed to appeal to modern day aesthetics, simplify planning and make the planning experience better and more enjoyable for everyone involved.”

Farrow’s commitment to evolving the planning experience goes beyond the design of the software. She has a grand vision for Aisle Planner that includes developing the brand into the ultimate online wedding community. By combining planning resources, business listings and publishing, the site will connect brides, planners and vendors into one ecosystem breaking down the current walls that are holding the industry back. Additionally, by shunning traditional advertising models, and content delivery methods,  her plan is to showcase authentic unbiased content through the site further evolving the planning process.

Farrow, like many of today’s entrepreneurs, launched Aisle Planner with the support of her family in the gar-office (garage rebuilt as an office) of her home.  A year later the company has 6 full time employees and a fleet of contractors all working out of their coastal north county San Diego offices. The support from the wedding industry vendros and wedding planners has been amazing and is reflected in the enourmous amount of high quality content being published through the site. With the release of the planning app the company adds yet another set of features in its effort to disrupt the planning industry.

Aisle Planner was nominated as one of southern CA Hottest Tech Start-Ups, has recently been written up in Tech Cocktail  and has begun their launch tour at a handful of southern CA demo events.  This activity has peaked  the interest of the investment community that is obviosuly excited about the big picture potential for Aisle Planner and the wedding planning industry.  To date, however,  the company has chosen not to take outside funding, a decision that was a tough one for Farrow, but one she feels strongly about.  She feels the decision has allowed them to remain focused on delivering a quality product and growing their audience without any distractions. "We really wanted to develop a product that was  amazing in every aspect and that fully met the needs of our customers and partners," said Farrow. "But based on conversations we had with interested investors early on and on the advice of our advisory board, we felt the best decision was to hold off on taking any outside money, prove our assumptions. A tough  and scarey decision when your spending your life savings, but an easy one when you beleive in what you're doing."

The planning software was released to their wating list  of couples on Christmas Day 2013 and everyone on their list recived a free year of planning as a gift from the company. It was opened to the general public on Jan  5th.
