Follow on Google News | Abitare step in to help customers of Mac and Mac InteriorsWigan based furniture retailer Abitare has stepped in to offer help to customers of Mac and Mac Interiors after they ceased trading this week.
By: Elizabeth Furnishings Phillip Ashworth, owner of Abitare in Wigan, said “We have been speaking directly to the following suppliers and we can guarantee supply of all orders placed with Cattelan Italia, Calligaris, Flos, Tonin Casa and Porada. Where we can we will not only honour the prices supplied by Mac and Mac but we will also honour deposits paid where these deposits have no chance of being refunded. Each case will be looked at individually but we have the support of the manufacturers that wish to find a painless resolution to this problem.” Abitare have successfully done this in the past when Cresta Furniture went bankrupt in Preston some 5 years ago, leaving many customers in the same position as Mac and Mac customers but with the likes of Natuzzi Italia and Incanto. Abitare is a family business based in Lancashire and has traded since 1976. They own a 32,000 sq ft showroom and deliver and assemble directly using only their own staff. Abitare stress that they are not an Internet based business and have built up their customer base over the last 38 years by offering a great selection of products from some of the top suppliers in the world. For any enquiries on sales or service issues from any of the suppliers listed, customer of Mac and Mac can call 01942 248842 and ask for Karl or e mail Phillip Ashworth direct at phillip@abitareuk.com End
