Abitare step in to help customers of Mac and Mac Interiors

WIGAN, U.K. - Jan. 15, 2014 - PRLog -- Furniture manufacturers such as Calligaris and Cattelan Italia have reacted quickly to the recent news that Mac and Mac Interiors have ceased trading. Letters have been sent out to authorized retailers advising them of the issue and requesting assistance in dealing with clients with lost deposits. Calligaris and other manufacturers are now left with produced goods and no details of customers who placed their orders through Mac & Mac.

Phillip Ashworth, owner of Abitare in Wigan, said “We have been speaking directly to the following suppliers and we can guarantee supply of all orders placed with Cattelan Italia, Calligaris, Flos, Tonin Casa and Porada. Where we can we will not only honour the prices supplied by Mac and Mac but we will also honour deposits paid where these deposits have no chance of being refunded. Each case will be looked at individually but we have the support of the manufacturers that wish to find a painless resolution to this problem.”

Abitare have successfully done this in the past when Cresta Furniture went bankrupt in Preston some 5 years ago, leaving many customers in the same position as Mac and Mac customers but with the likes of Natuzzi Italia and Incanto.
