Follow on Google News | Gigastrand International Celebrates 10 Years of Linux AdvocacyAfter a another record-breaking year, Gigastrand begins its 8th year of business with a bright outlook and a brand-new operating system.
If the math doesn't quite work out, it is because before Gigastrand International was formed in 2006, Gigastrand existed as LinspireNetwork in 2004 and then GigabytesNetwork in 2005 - all dedicated to the same Linux advocacy practiced by Gigastrand today. Josh Tordsen co-founded Gigastrand International with Patrick Green. While Patrick is no longer with Gigastrand, many of the principals he helped found the company with still drive the business. Mr. Tordsen explains. "Patrick was an incredible and learned person. It was an honor to work with him and I was excited to found this company with him. He brought a passion for Linux and Open Source Software that I try to incorporate into my stewardship of Gigastrand. He was passionate about the end-user experience and dedicated much of his time to those new to Linux. That is one of the primary driving forces behind Gigastrand." That motivation helped drive the development of the latest Linux distribution - the Gigastrand OS. Gigastrand released their operating system January 4th and has garnered some positive attention from Linux enthusiasts. Gigastrand has a history of innovation and has led to a series of firsts such as their Lifetime Warranty desktop PCs that run the Gigastrand OS and the pre-install remote assistance incorporated into the Gigastrand OS. This may be why Gigastrand earnings have increased 40% in 2013 breaking the previous sales records for 2011 and 2012. Any way you look at it, this year looks good for Gigastrand. End
