Mobile Websites have they TKO’d the Desktop Website?

BATANGAS CITY, Philippines - Jan. 16, 2014 - PRLog -- 75% of the Market! If you had a product that had over 75% of market you would be saying that product owns the market and they have basically “Knocked Out” any other opponent. So if Mobile Phones are the chosen way to search the Internet, can we say that Mobile Websites have TKO’d the traditional website? Well right now the judges are comparing scorecards but let me have my say.

The Bell has not yet gone clang and the fight is just getting warmed up.

Ok, let me come totally clean I love Mobile websites The Camel makes Sexy Mobile sites and yes wait for it we also do traditional Websites, we also refer to them as Sexy by the way. So I think we are in a pretty good position to offer our opinion of what’s going on in the market, and frankly we still build a lot of desktop sites, however the style is changing.

What do I mean by changing? I believe the days of “Flash Boom Bang” the Websites that seem to have Steven Spielberg directing them, full of special effects and wizardry, more glitter and pizazz than a Mardi Gra are gone. We are starting to see Websites become less in pages, less in text and more shall we put it, “Straight to the Point” Wow Just like Mobile sites huh.

We are starting to see a lot of “One” page websites which are more akin to a launching page into the Mobile Site. Why? Business owners have read a lot and realised there customers are no longer sitting at a desk, carting a laptop around so you have to give them what you know will get their attention on a smaller screen, whilst the potential customer is walking, eating, jogging as that’s they do all that when they are searching the net. (Mobile Phone Crashes are becoming common LOL)

One pagers and a Mobile Site is what we see with the Majority of Small to Medium Business owners now. A One pager that is a stunning First Impression, with just the right amount of information and its used for the lower percentage that search form a desktop or Laptop. The Mobile version is now getting all the attention for Promotions and Offer Razzmatazz for that 75% that search from a Smartphone.

So is the Full Desktop Website out for the count laying on the canvas? NO. Is it totally a Mobile Website World? NO
