Follow on Google News | Del Rio UFO Festival Features Talk about Mysterious Skull Found in MexicoA strange skull found in Northern Mexico is a lecture topic at the Del Rio UFO Festival on Saturday, January 25, 2014, at the Paul Poag Theatre in Del Rio, Texas. The skull's owner Melanie Young, will speak about the mysteries surrounding the skull.
By: RoswellBooks.com In 1998, the Starchild Skull was given to El Paso neonatal nurse Melanie Young, who immediately suspected that it was not a “deformed” Research on the skull has verified that it is 900 years old and that it did come from Chihuahua. The testing also ruled out every known human deformity and mutation and revealed attributes unlike anything previously known to science. In fact, two substances in its bone (fibers and residue) are unidentified because no protocol yet invented can recover and analyze them. Recent preliminary DNA results have established that the skull contains non-human nuclear DNA. Samples of the DNA from the skull were compared to the DNA of thousands of Earth organisms, from bacteria to animals to primates, kept in the US National Institutes of Health genetic database. This comparison found that some of the fragments from the skull did not correspond to anything in the database. These fragments are unlike anything previously found on Earth. Also tested was the second type of human DNA, called mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA). This study found many differences compared to human DNA. This is a partial result, but definitive - the Skull’s mtDNA is not human. Speaking at the Del Rio UFO Festival on January 25 will be Melanie Young, the owner of the Starchild Skull. Young believes it may have belonged to an extraterrestrial being. She has appeared on the History Channel’s Ancient Astronauts and has spoken at events all over the U.S. about this strange artifact. Speaking at the Paul Poag Theatre, Young will present a talk called “The Mystery of the Starchild Skull,” explaining how the skull was found, how she came into possession of it, and the results of DNA testing that has been conducted on it in recent years. Melanie Young co-founded the Starchild Project in 1999, after she was given an unusual skull later dubbed the “Starchild Skull” from a private collection. As a neonatal nurse, Young recognized that it was not a common deformity and felt it deserved scientific investigation. The skull is believed to be that of an extraterrestrial, and testing has determined that the DNA in the skull differs significantly from that of human beings. Young received her nursing education from Methodist School of Nursing in Lubbock, Texas, graduating in 1984. She specialized in Neonatal Nursing for over 10 years, caring for critically ill newborns and pediatric patients. She spent the majority of her career in a teaching hospital where she obtained experience and understanding of both common and rare deformities and genetic mutations. During her career as a nurse she taught nursing students and medical students basic assessment skills and technical skills in dealing with critically ill newborns. After retiring from nursing, Young became a Massage Therapist and owned a wellness clinic for another 10 years. During this time she taught advanced anatomy and physiology at a local community college. Later she was asked to develop and run a therapeutic massage program at the high standards required by entry level colleges. She was considered by many to be one of the top Massage Therapists and Massage Therapy Instructors in the state of Texas. She has taught numerous massage classes through the state and internationally.
